We obtained planning permission for an attractive redevelopment of an underused shopping precinct comprising a 7,000 square metre food store with 64 residential flats.
We co-ordinated the planning application, including preparation of a Planning Statement, Retail Impact Assessment, and Design and Access Statement.
As a strategic planning application, we had to ensure that the Mayor of London did not direct refusal. This involved pre-application meetings with the Greater London Authority and satisfactorily responding to issues raised in the stage 1 referral report.
We helped to form, and participated in, the Embassy Court Liaison Group to improve communication between the developer, the council and local residents during the application and construction phases.
