Railway Arch, Putney Bridge Road
Client: Wadham Tyres
Authority: Wandsworth
Following the refusal of planning permission by the London Borough of Wandsworth for the conversion of a railway arch used for tyre storage in Putney Bridge Road, SW15, to a MoT Test Centre, we prepared and submitted an appeal on behalf of Wadham Tyre Services. The main issues were the potential impact on residential amenities of noise and disturbance from the activities of the test centre, and the impact on highway safety and on-street parking. We secured planning permission at appeal via written representations and this has now been implemented.
