Tesco Express: London Fascia Project

We worked with Tytherleigh Aukett Architects to secure planning permissions, advertisement consents and listed building consents for the rebranding of 36 Tesco Express stores in the most sensitive locations in London. The project involved replacing the conspicuous white signs with dark blue signs, replacing the clutter of external lighting with sleek LED internal illumination, restoration of original building features, and removal of all non-traditional clutter from the shopfronts.
The project, initiated by Tesco Stores Limited in response to calls for improvement from local heritage and residents group, received praise from both the Kensington Society and the Chelsea Society. The rebranding of the store in Holland Park Avenue received an Environmental Improvement Award from the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea and also received praise publicly from The Chelsea Society and The Kensington Society.
